In 2006 the Franco Mazzotti Mille Miglia Club Foundation founded the Courageous Intelligence – Intelligent Courage International Prize. It is for people that have succeeded in distinguishing themselves in the scientific, cultural or sporting field recognizing their high ethical and moral values in spreading loyalty, with respect for ethical norms, written and unwritten.

Today the Foundation is broadening its projects by founding Grants, that is to say prizes in money, to be assigned to national and international researchers.

The new initiative of the Foundation aims to reward scholars of all ages in every field who have proved capable of blending intelligence and courage in going ahead with their researches. Another objective of the initiative is to obtain from the assignees of the Grants a concrete result for their research so that the Foundation can promote it in various spheres, so as to succeed in concretizing something that, often, risks remaining mere theory.

The Grants assigned intend to reward people who have reached important goals, to stimulate those who are still in full activity and commitment and to stimulate young minds to devote themselves to such noble and fundamental work for human life, which is what research is.
